In our commitment to transparency and helping you manage your resources efficiently, we provide detailed insights into how bandwidth usage is calculated in this article.

What Counts Towards Your Bandwidth?

Bandwidth refers to the Content Delivery Network (CDN) bandwidth that is consumed when delivering content to your end-users. This metric quantifies how much data is being transmitted from TwicPics to your audience.

Key Points on Bandwidth Calculation:

  • Output Optimized Traffic Only: We calculate your bandwidth usage based on the optimized traffic delivered to your end-users. This means that the focus is on the actual data transmitted after any optimizations have been applied, ensuring that you benefit from TwicPics's efficiency enhancements.

  • No Charges for Asset Transformations: It's important to note that the transformations applied to your assets, which can include resizing images, converting formats, or even manipulations performed by AI, do not count towards your bandwidth usage.

  • Exclusions from Bandwidth Calculation: TwicPics won't charge you for the number of requests made, the number of origin images, or the traffic to your origin to fetch your origin images. Our billing focuses only on the delivery of optimized content to your users, providing you with more freedom to manage and distribute your content effectively.

Monitoring Your Bandwidth Usage:

  • From the back office: You can keep track of your bandwidth consumption through the statistics section of your workspace(s). If you own multiple workspaces, you can track the total bandwidth consumption associated to your account and plan on the billing page.

  • Weekly email reports: TwicPics sends out weekly email reports that allow you to closely track your usage. These reports are designed to give you a clear overview and comparison of your bandwidth consumption over the past two week.
